Parents we need your VOICE!!!

 

It has come to our attention that the City of Corona Parks & Recreation department plans to IMPOSE AND DRAMATICALLY INCREASE FEES on the Youth Organizations of Corona (this includes but is not limited to all Baseball, Soccer, Football, Rugby, Lacrosse youth organizations in our city) for field usage throughout the season (at a rate of $3 per hour field).

 

This will INCREASE OPERATING EXPENSES BY $15,000-$25,000 PER SEASON while also INCREASING REGISTRATION FEES TO OUR PLAYER FAMILIES (approximately $40 more per player) …STRAINING NIMBLE YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS that rely on ‘controlled costs per child player unit’.

 

** WE NEED YOUR VOICE AT THE PARKS COMMISSION MEETING **

When: This Wednesday 2/13 at 6:00 PM

Where: City Council Chambers/City Hall 400 S. Vicentia Avenue

What: Fee Changes/Field Usage Discussion

 

Please remember OUR YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS are non-profits that depend on controlled costs, fundraising, donations, snack bar profits and more to operate a successful program where ALL PROCEEDS go back to the players.
