Delivering on its promise to create a new and transparent Corona American Little League/Board of Directors, the Board of Directors elected new 2016-2017 President Chis Marasco. 

"Chris is the President of Corona American Little League and a second year Corona American Little League board member. He is an avid baseball fan and strong believer in the Little League program. Chris started his baseball career, like many of you, at the age of 5 playing Little League. He quickly learned the game and enjoyed going to Angel games where he would keep score from the stands. He went on to play baseball at his local high school and also umpired his local Little League in his spare time. After taking a few years off, Chris came back to Little league four years ago to start coaching his own son.
 
Chris has extensive business experience managing a large product portfolio and working with executives at Fortune 500 companies to solve business challenges. In addition, he is also active in other local charities. Like many of you, Chris experienced firsthand as a team volunteer some of the challenges of running a youth baseball league. He joined the board in 2015 to help use his talent and experiences to make a difference for our league and players. His vision for the 2017 season is to elevate your family's Little League experience by developing concise objectives and better organization, communication, and transparency.”

Additionally, the board welcomed newly elected as well as newly appointed board members:

•    Michelle Phillips
•    Lisa Tarter
•    Steve Bergantine

In addition to newly elected President Chris Marasco, the board is in the process of implementing the following:

•    Created a brand new user-friendly website
•    Expanded Social Media presence with Instagram/Twitter accounts
•    Improved the Snack Bar/Menu
•    Invest in POS technology to track sales/Inventory
•    Will be accepting Visa/MasterCard on Snack Bar purchases
•    Working to implement improved Code of Conduct policies to improve League Manager/Coach Behavior
•    Introduced ‘Board Member on Duty’ feedback forms for immediate response to complaints, suggestions, etc.
